Sphynx Kitten Adoption
Welcome to our guide to sphynx kitten adoption at Skin Goblins, a boutique sphynx cattery and responsible breeder. This page explains our adoption process, how the kitten application works, what’s included, and how we support you long after your adoption. We keep the purchase price private. After confirming a good fit, we share your adoption fees, the small non-refundable deposit, and any next steps for a specific kitten or future litter on our priority list of approved families.

Our Sphynx Cat Adoption Process
Complete the kitten application to share your home, other pets, and goals with us → https://skingoblins.com/contact/. A real person reviews every form.
We discuss temperament, activity level, and environment. If the right fit isn’t listed yet, we’ll add you to the priority list for upcoming litters.
For a specific kitten or a spot in a future litter, we provide a written agreement and collect a small, non-refundable deposit. The signed contract secures your place in line.
We send a checklist covering the litter box area, food and bowls, cozy spaces, grooming basics, enrichment toys, and a calm intro plan for other pets.
Before pickup, a licensed vet completes the exam and core vaccines; a microchip is placed. Pickup is available in person by appointment to ensure your kitten’s health and safety.
We remain available for questions about process, cost factors, routine, or any first‑week jitters. You’ll also get pointers to our Care & Health hub.
Pricing Philosophy
We do not post public numbers for the price or purchase details. Instead, we talk through your goals and household, then share the private purchase price, current adoption fees, and balance timing once you’re approved. This keeps conversations centered on the kitten’s match and well‑being. Never just a number.
What influences the fee?
- Age‑appropriate core vaccines, microchip, records, and any routine medication recommended by our vet
- Parent testing cadence and documentation (we’re transparent about clinic/city and key dates)
- Hands‑on rearing, enrichment, and the time it takes to raise confident kittens
- Registration paperwork, where applicable; expectations around spaying/neutering
Notes: The deposit is non-refundable. Final payment options are reviewed during approval; we never request risky transfers, and you never have to pay before you’ve received the official agreement.
Health Practices & Guarantees
We raise sphynx with proactive veterinary oversight. While we do not make exaggerated claims, our policies include reasonable health guarantees that reflect common, responsible standards among reputable breeders. We encourage adopters to budget for routine care and unexpected vet bills. That’s part of giving a cat an excellent quality of life.
New adopters receive records for the exam, microchip, and vaccines, plus practical guidance for bathing, managing light fur down and skin care, and introductions with other pets. If you’re prone to sensitivities or have allergies, we’ll also share cleaning routines that many families find helpful with a hairless cat.
Choosing Specific Available Kittens vs. Priority List
If you’ve fallen for a specific kitten on our available kittens page, mention that on your kitten application. If timing is flexible, joining our priority list puts you in line for upcoming litters. Either way, the adoption process is the same, with a small, non-refundable deposit and a clear, signed contract.
Agreements & Pickup Policies
Spay/Neuter
Companion placements require spaying/neutering by the agreed date; we review this in the agreement.
Visits
We visit by appointment after application review to avoid overwhelming a litter and to keep everyone healthy. Your person limit and hand hygiene help set the tone for a calm session.
Pickup
We do in‑person handoffs only. We’ll discuss safe travel setups and climate control to keep skin warm and comfortable.
Pricing & Adoption FAQs
Is this different from a rescue or shelter?
Yes. A rescue or shelter is an excellent option for many families. Our role as a small sphynx cattery and breeder is focused on careful pairing, early socialization, and long‑term education about the breed and care.
How many mentions of ears or other traits belong in this section?
We keep it simple: we care more about fit than show terms, but you’ll see classic features like expressive ears, warm skin, and engaging personalities common to the standard sphynx.
Do you publish the cost?
No. We discuss costs privately with approved adopters after aligning on goals. You’ll get a written breakdown of fees, deposit, and final balance in the signed contract.
What if I have other pets or kids?
That’s fine. Many family homes are adopted from us. We’ll talk through introductions, environment setup, and the gentle routines that sphynx cats love.
What forms of payment do you take?
We review payment options during approval. We never ask you to pay before the agreement is ready. For safety, we do not accept risky transfer methods; on pickup, we can discuss standard options (including cash if arranged in advance).
Ready to Start Your Sphynx Kitten Adoption?
